Foi obtida uma amostra das criancas atendidas pelo programa em duas regioes da cidade, campo limpo e itaquera-guaianazes, e levantados os dados de peso e idade ao longo das visitas destas as unidades. Analisadas as variacoes do percentil peso para a idade e do z-score peso para a idade, observou-se que as melhoras em relacao a estes indicadores eram poucas. A grande maioria dos casos teve evolucao nula e um numero apreciavel apresentou piora. O grande numero de criancas admitidas, abaixo dos seis meses de idade e acima do percentil 10 do peso para a idade, parece ser responsavel por grande parte destes achados. Avaliou-se ainda a atitude dos profissionais frente ao programa.
